The 3 day long MArch(Prof) exams at the Department of Architecture (University of Pretoria), were concluded on 21 November 2018.
8 students out of a class of 27 will receive degrees cum laude after achieving distinctions for both design and technology. Examiners came from as far as Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town and included a number of local practitioners and PIA members such as Earthworld architects, Braam de Villiers and Andre Eksteen and Niel Crafford from PlanEco.
On the evening of the one-night exhibition on the 23rd of November, at the newly refurbished Boukunde building, Robbie Jordaan received the Corobrik prize for the best use of Brick. Alexia Koltatsis and Walter Coetsee were the 2nd runners up for the annual Corobrik regional prize with an average design and technology mark of 82%, while Ferdinand le Grange received the 1st runner up prize with an average mark of 85%. Matt Pace was the regional winner for this year with an average mark of 86%.
