Recruiting for a Professional / Candidate Architect
Activate Architecture is a design-orientated, architecture firm, based in Rosebank, Johannesburg working on a range of projects across South Africa. We are looking for a talented professional to be part of our team, in the form of a Professional/Candidate Architect. This exciting position, involves working on various projects, some of which are in the construction phase and some in the design phase.
Functioning across all the architectural stages of work and working within a team structure, the successful applicant will be expected to:

Assist in developing and managing project design and development.
▪
Produce design documentation aligned to the design brief.
▪
Assist with the coordination of the project team and program.
▪
Research, programs, plans, designs, and various building systems and materials.
▪
Develop design options in collaboration with the design team.
▪
Utilize computer-assisted design (CAD) software (specifically Autodesk Revit) and equipment to prepare project design construction documentation.
▪
Work alongside highly collaborative multi-disciplinary design and construction teams.
▪ The candidate should be able to demonstrate skill in the design development process and be able to translate a sketch design into a set of competent working drawings.
Job Requirements & Experience
▪
M. Arch (non-negotiable) and professional registration with SACAP
▪
2+ Years’ experience working in an Architectural Practice.
▪
Experience in leading on all Architectural Stages of Work – and able to show evidence of built projects.
▪
High levels of skill using Autodesk Revit is essential. Competency in the use of AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, and Excel will be an advantage.
